Jammu and Kashmir United Peace Movement Formed In IOK

In occupied Kashmir, the four political Organizations have announced to form a united front under the name of Jammu and Kashmir United Peace Movement (JKUPM).

According to media sources, the announcement was made in a joint press conference held in Jammu. The JKUPM would comprise the Nature-Human Centric People Movement led by Sheikh Himmat Singh, the Jammu and Kashmir Freedom Movement led by Mohammad Sharif Sartaj, the Nature-Mankind Friendly Global Party led by Babu Singh, the Shiromani Akali Dal led by Sardar Jaspal Singh Mangal, advocate M.R. Qureshi and S Narinder Singh Khalsa. The leaders including Sharief Sartaz and others declared that the fundamental programme of Jammu and Kashmir Peace Movement was to launch campaign for the promotion of peace and common development of the region but the main purpose was to struggle for settlement of the lingering Kashmir dispute.  They said the Kashmir dispute is the root cause of mass unrest in Jammu-Kashmir. The Jammu-Kashmir dispute is also the main bone of contention between India and Pakistan. The Jammu-Kashmir United Peace Movement also agreed to put forth a roadmap for the resolution of Kashmir dispute before all the stakeholders.
