All Parties Hurriyet Conference has expressed serious concern over the removal of its official page from social networking site Facebook by the puppet authorities. According to Media sources , the APHC’s media advisor, Advocate Shahid-ul-Islam, in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the way the puppet regime was now imposing restrictions on social media sites was despotic and demonstrated the severe curbs on the freedom of expression in the occupied territory. He termed the move as clear case of frustration of the puppet administration, which had already imposed restrictions on the peaceful activities of APHC due to fear of its popularity among the masses. Shahid-ul-Islam said that such repressive measures of the puppet regime exposed its real face which was highly intolerant and did not bear slightest criticism against it. He said that such tactics could not affect the Hurriyet leaders’ determination to pursue their liberation struggle.
Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, while maintaining that India is adopting military approach and pushing the entire South Asia towards war, has said that Kashmir is a political issue, which can only be resolved by involving its main stakeholder, Kashmiris. According to Media sources, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq was addressing a one-day delegate session of Awami Action Committee in connection with its 50th foundation year at Town Hall in Islamabad. “Bharatiya Janata Party government, by calling off foreign secretary level talks with Pakistan, is trying to give an impression about its tough stance. But this hardline approach will lead them to nowhere as dialogue is the only way to resolve all outstanding issues,” said Mirwaiz. “If New Delhi doesn’t talk with Pakistan and adopts confrontationist politics, they are creating war-like situation and pushing entire South Asia towards it,” he said, adding, “Ultimately they will be left with no option but to resume talks.” It is the people of Kashmir who have to decide the future of Kashmir and not India and Pakistan and the implementation of the United Nations resolutions or tripartite talks were the only viable solution to the Kashmir imbroglio, he added. Others who spoke on the occasion included APHC leader, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, AAC General Secretary, Ghulam Nabi Zaki, and President of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Forum, Pandit Bhushan Bazaz.
senior Hurriyet leader, Shabbir Ahmad Shah has said that hectic deliberations are underway to put up united face against the so-called Kashmir assembly elections.
According to Media sources , Shabbir Ahmad Shah in a media interview in Srinagar said that the Hurriyet Conference Jammu and Kashmir (HCJK) had expedited the process to bring pro-freedom groups on board to launch an effective campaign for the boycott of the so-called elections. “Emerging political situation in Kashmir demands greater unity among the pro-freedom groups. Pro-India parties including National Conference, Peoples Democratic Party, Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party contest elections under different flags but their sole aim is to implement India’s agenda to suppress the ongoing movement. We are left with only option to unite and give them befitting reply by making the election boycott call successful,” he said. Shabbir Shah, who also heads Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP), said, “We have been getting positive signals from pro-freedom parties. We are working to fix modalities of issue-based unity. The process will be completed well before elections to jointly launch campaign against it. Our present agenda is to implement single poll boycott strategy,” he said. “I have been making efforts to forge greater unity in the pro-freedom camp for past many years. Indian agencies are working round the clock to sabotage unity among us. This time we have made it clear that there will be unity with only those parties who are for resolution of the Kashmir dispute according to aspirations of Kashmiri people and United Nations resolutions,” he maintained. The veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, talking to a local English daily Greater Kashmir said, “We are thinking over the proposal of Hurriyet Conference Jammu and Kashmir for adopting joint strategy for election boycott.”
the veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani has said that his party Tehreek-e-Hurriyet Jammu and Kashmir (TeH) is purely a political organization, yet India and its puppet authorities have launched a war against the organization putting a complete ban on its political and religious activities. According to Media sources , Syed Ali Gilani while addressing the executive members of Tehreek-e-Hurriyet during a daylong meeting in Srinagar said, “I am continuously under house detention from last 4 years and many central and district officials of Tehreek-e-Hurriyet are also imprisoned in different jails. Police have always been following the activists of Tehreek-e-Hurriyet in every village and town and they are not allowed to perform their religious as well as political activities.” He warned India that this policy would have serious consequences in future as closing all the options of the political struggle would force the youth to adopt other means. The veteran Hurriyet leader, however, said that these cruelties would neither deter Tehreek-e-Hurriyet, nor would they compromise their stand. “Until and unless the Kashmir dispute is resolved according to its historical perspective and Kashmiris are given a chance to decide their future, Tehreek-e-Hurriyet would continue its struggle at all costs,” the veteran leader maintained. He said that though Tehreek-e-Hurriyet was only 10 years old but it had successfully completed its purpose of existence and remained firm on its stand despite the atrocities and cruelties of India. Reiterating his appeal for creating local Biat-ul-Malls in every village and town, he said, “For strengthening the freedom movement, it is very essential to make it materially self-sufficient.”
