PDP’s Remarks Admission of Puppet Regime’s Failure: AAC

Awami Action Committee, headed by, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, has said that the PDP-BJP coalition has failed in providing basic aid and assistance to the Kashmiri people in distress. According to media sources, the AAC said this in a statement in response to the assertions made by pro-India PDP General Secretary, Nizamuddin Butt, to a group of women seeking help from the puppet administration. The PDP leader had advised the women to seek help from APHC Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq. “It is a frank admission of the failure of the puppet regime to provide even basic aid and assistance to the problem ridden people of Jammu and Kashmir,” the AAC spokesman said. He said that the Mirwaiz family had all along provided guidance and support to the people of the valley in all fields including social, educational, religious and even economic spheres – and the people of the Valley have tremendous regard and respect for them. “When the devastating flood struck Kashmir last year and the administration completely disappeared from the scene, the Mirwaiz as chief cleric of Kashmir and head of Dar-ul-Khair took it upon himself to provide relief and rehabilitation to the flood stricken people of Kashmir,” he added. He said that the Mirwaiz even undertook construction of houses for the most needy, adding that the rehabilitation work by Dar-ul-Khair still continued for the flood victims.
