Hurriyat leader, Ghulam Nabi Sumjhi, has said that Indian news channels are running anti-Kashmir programmes and vitiating atmosphere in India against the Kashmiri people.
According to media sources, Ghulam Nabi Sumjhi in an interview in Srinagar refuted the allegations of an English Indian news channel which had reported that he had amassed property disproportionate to his income. He said that the allegations were baseless and the said news channel’s editor should apologise to him, else he would file a defamation case against him in the court. “I don’t have the property which the news channel has reported. I had ancestral land from which I have sold 20 kanals. I don’t have any school in Awantipora or any hotel in Pahalgam. Whatever property I own that is my ancestral,” he said.
