A Delhi court has extended the remand of illegally detained four Kashmiri Hurriyet leaders in the custody of Indian National Investigation Agency (NIA) by 10 more days.
According to media sources, the NIA had arrested seven pro-freedom leaders, Altaf Ahmed Shah, Ayaz Akbar, Peer Saifullah, Merajuddin Kalwal, Shahid-ul-Islam and Nayeem Ahmed Khan from Srinagar and Farooq Ahmad Dar from New Delhi on June 24 in false cases registered against them. All the detained leaders were produced before a Delhi court, today. The court extended NIA remand of Altaf Ahmed Shah, Peer Saifullah, Merajuddin Kalwal and Nayeem Ahmed Khan till August 14. The court sent Shahid-ul-Islam, Farooq Ahmed Dar and Ayaz Akbar to judicial custody till 1st September.
