The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter has said that Indian government and its National Investigation Agency (NIA) are resorting to anti-Kashmir and anti-movement tactics of harassing and arresting Hurriyet leadership in occupied Kashmir.
According to media sources, the representatives of Hurriyet conference in a joint meeting at Hurriyat office in Islamabad while condemning the pre-planned crackdown on Hurriyet leadership said that New Delhi was forcing the pro-freedom leaders to surrender and defaming the just struggle of the Kashmiri people. The APHC-AJK strongly condemned the arrest of Hurriyat leaders, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Altaf Ahmed Shah, Ayaz Akbar, Merajuddin Kalwal, Peer Saifullah, Shahid-ul-Islam, Nayeem Ahmad Khan and Farooq Ahmad Dar and demanded release of all Kashmiri political detainees languishing in different jails. The participants of the meeting also expressed serious concern over the continued detention of Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Muhammad Yasin Malik and disallowing of people to offer Friday prayers in historical Jamia Masjid in Srinagar by the puppet authorities. They also urged the world human rights bodies to take notice of the worst situation of occupied Kashmir.
