Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani paying tributes to popular martyred youth leader, Burhan Muzaffar Wani, and his two associates, has said that the sacrifices infused a new life in the resistance movement.
According to media sources, Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, also paid tributes to the martyrs of 13th July 1931 and thereafter adding that those brutally massacred during mass uprising in 2016 presented invaluable and exemplary sacrifices. Hailing spirits of people, he said, they are very much sensitive and serious about resistance movement. “He is a role model for our youth,” said Gilani, while referring to Burhan Wani and added that sacrifices rendered by Burhan are praiseworthy and exemplary. “He is our hero and his martyrdom serves as a milestone and an inspiration for generations to come.” He said, “Burhan Wani is a shining star of our freedom movement and we are committed to the mission, for which he sacrificed his lives.” He said he pays his salute to this legend and added that despite a budding youth, he proved a mature and dedicated warrior. Referring to the annals of history, Gilani said Kashmiri people are pursuing their freedom mission since 1931. “Prior to 1947, Jammu and Kashmir was reeling under despotic rule and later India forcibly occupied it with its military might.” “Despite being suppressed, we never accepted the forced occupation and resisted all type of tyranny tooth and nail. Despite facing brutalities and brutalities inflicted by Indian authorities, we are pursuing a pious mission and won’t forget the sacrifices of our heroes who since last seventy years are presenting their lives.” Hurriyat leaders Shabbir Ahmad Dar, Zamruda Habeeb, Yasmeen Raja, Fareeda Behanji Zafar Akbar Butt, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, Dukhtaran-e-Millat and Muslim League in their separate statements also paid tributes to Burhan Wani and martyrs of July 13, 1931. They said it was mandatory for the people of Kashmir to be firm on that stand and fight against the occupation.
