In occupied Kashmir, a spontaneous shutdown, marked by forceful anti-India demonstrations, was observed in the Kashmir Valley, today, following the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen top commander, Sabzar Ahmed Butt.
According to media sources, Sabzar Ahmed Butt was killed along with his two associates by Indian troops at Saimu in Tral area of Pulwama district, today. The killing of Sabzar Ahmed triggered massive anti-India protests and strike across the Kashmir Valley where situation is very tense. Scores of people have been injured due the use of brute force by Indian troops and police personnel on protesters in different areas of the occupied territory. The schools in the Kashmir Valley were closed three hours before the scheduled time. The puppet authorities also suspended class work in various colleges. However, the students staged forceful demonstrations in Srinagar, Ganderbal, Shopian, Sopore, Baramulla, Bandipora, Islamabad and other areas against the killing of Sabzar Ahmed Butt.
